Casselton city ordinance allows fireworks displays only on July 3 – 5 from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm and until midnight on the 4th. Displays on any other date or time require a permit approved by city council. Permit applications are available at the city auditor’s office to persons 18 years or older. Permit fee is $10.00 and must be submitted with the application by June 28th for any displays after July 4th.

The City of Casselton and the Fargo-Moorhead Metropolitan Council of Governments (Metro COG) have prepared a draft of the Casselton Comprehensive Plan which is now available for public comment and inspection. The plan is intended to offer guidance for public policy and decision-making on a wide range of topics including: housing, land use, transportation, public facilities, utilities, natural resources, economic development, community character, and design.
A draft of the Casselton Comprehensive Plan is available for review at Casselton City Hall (702 1st Street North, Casselton, ND 58012), the City of Casselton website at www.casselton.com, or on Metro COG’s website at www.fmmetrocog.org. All comments should be submitted by June 3rd, 2019 to Sheila Klevgard, City Auditor (Casselton City Hall) or by email at email@example.com with "Casselton Public Comment” in the email subject heading.
