Medical and Emergency Service
Medical Clinic
The Medical Clinic,
is staffed and operated by the
Dakota Clinic. The Clinic is staffed with a Family Practice
physician, nurses and laboratory/X-ray services. Being associated with
a larger health care system and hospital, patients also have access to
a wide assortment of medical specialist just a half away.
The Medical Clinic also is staffed by a Dentist and hygienists
offering general dentistry services.
Additionally, Casselton has a Chiropractic Clinic, Licensed massage
therapist, Health Club and Pharmacy.
Veterinary Clinic
Casselton has a growing, full service Veterinary Clinic that cares for large and small animals. The Veterinary Clinic has 7 full time doctors that offer surgical, chiropractic, and acupuncture services for large and small animals. The Clinic also specializes in Equine Artificial Insemination services.
Ambulance Service
The Casselton Ambulance Service is a non-profit corporation whose funds are provided through membership subscriptions, charges for services provided to non-members, county and city allocations and donations. The Ambulance Service is licensed with the state of ND as a Basic Life Support Service to provide 24 hour Ambulance service to Casselton and the surrounding area. The Ambulance Service is staffed by local volunteers who are trained and nationally certified to the First Reponder and EMT-B levels. The Ambulance Service is governed by a Board of Directors, representing the squad, the rural First Responders, and by city and rural citizens. The Ambulance Service works closely with Cass County Rural First Responders and Advance Life Support providers from surrounding towns to provide a smooth tiered response. Casselton Ambulance Service is a member of county, state and national EMS associations, keeping up to date with the newest EMS rules and techniques. The Ambulance Service instructs American Red Cross First Aid and American Heart CPR to the community.
Fire Department
The Casselton Fire Department provides fire protection to Casselton and to 11 townships, a 386 square mile territory. The Fire Department has six tanker trucks with nearly 10,000 gallon water capacity and a Rescue/Command vehicle that can double as rehab/patient treatment area. The Fire Department is a Heavy Rescue service, and are State renown for their vehicle, and farm extrication expertise. The Fire Department is trained in dealing with Hazardous Material incidents. The Fire Department provides assistance to Ambulance and rural fire departments.
Law Enforcement
The Cass County
Sheriff's Department provides Law Enforcement protection for the
City of Casselton. Because of the central location, the Sheriff Deputies
use the Casselton Police station as rural base. Because of Casselton's
location at the junction of Interstate 94 and ND Highway 18, North Dakota
Highway Patrol use Casselton as a rural base also.
