Casselton has a mixture of established neighborhoods and new developments. Casselton offers 550 single family homes, 119 apartment units, which 58 apartment units are designed for elderly and moderate income households. Casselton also has two mobile home parks.

The primary new construction has been Single and Twin residential units to the new developments to the north and south areas of town.

Casselton has a 20-unit retirement living center with on-site caretakers and a large common area for community and resident activities.
